Lipodissolve - Non Surgical Alternative to Liposuction
The medications used in the Lipodissolve causes lysis (“bursting”) of the fat cell wall. This allows the fat that is being stored in the cell to get released, and is taken by the lymphatic system to the liver where it is metabolized and excreted out in the urine.
Lipodissolve averages about 1 inch of fat loss for each 100cc of the medications used. This average takes in to account patients that lose 2 inches, but also patients that lose ¼ or ½ inch with the treatment. This variability is due to individual responses to the medications as well as the type of fat that is being treated. Soft fat works very well with Lipodissolve. Fibrous fat is more difficult to treat with Lipodissolve (as it is with liposuction) because more of the fat cells will weaken instead of completely bursting and therefore will need additional treatments and/or will need to combine with aftercare procedures such as endermology to optimize the results of each Lipodissolve treatment. It’s not a question of whether Lipodissolve will work, but rather how many treatments it will take to attain a goal in reduction.
Q. What is Lipodissolve and what can it do for me?
A. Lipodissolve is a gentle and gradual procedure designed to provide cosmetic results without the use of toxic medications. Lipodissolve is a non-surgical alternative to liposuction which can produce dramatic results after only a few sessions. Its safety and simplicity make it a popular choice for anyone wishing to eliminate stubborn accumulations of fat and cellulite.
Q. Does Lipodissolve replace surgery?
A. Both yes and no. Lipodissolve cannot replace dramatic surgical procedures, but only on the right body type with small to medium fat deposits, Lipodissolve can replace surgery and often accomplish good results without extensive downtime and the complications associated with surgery.
Q. Is the procedure safe?
A. Lipodissolve is extremely promising from a safety aspect. As of 2005, with thousands of procedures performed, there have been no reports of adverse complications or permanent or life-threatening side effects from the therapy. Rare, but possible risks can include adverse allergic reactions against the medications used.
Q. How does Lipodissolve work?
A. The Lipodissolve formula consists of vitamins, enzymes and a natural, soy-derived substance called phosphatidycholine, the main chemical component in soya oil. The medications used in the Lipodissolve formula causes lysis or “bursting” of the fat cell wall. This allows the fat that is being stored in the cell to get released. It is then taken by the lymphatic system to the liver where it is metabolized and excreted out in the urine over the next few weeks to months.
Q. Is only one treatment of Lipodissolve all that is necessary?
A. No. The most successful course of Lipodissolve therapy involves a series of treatment sessions spaced between six to eight weeks apart.
Q. How much fat can I be expected to lose with Lipodissolve?
A. Patients average about 1 inch of fat loss for each 100cc of the medication used. It’s not a question of whether Lipodissolve will work, but rather how many treatments it will take to attain the desired result.
Q. Can Lipodissolve be used as a weight loss therapy?
A. No. Lipodissolve is suitable for small to medium fat deposits for patients preferably with soft or ‘liquidy’ fat constitution. Lipodissolve has limited cosmetic results on large volumes of fat and is not a suitable therapy on obese body types. Lipodissolve often shows insignificant reduction in actual weight even if a patient shows considerable losses in waistline measurements. Lipodissolve may also show poor or no results on candidates with metabolic or thyroid disorders, on fat combined with binding tissue, or certain candidates with generic fat deposits. As with any cosmetic treatment, whether surgical or nonsurgical, a proper pre-evaluation is essential when selecting the right candidate for treatment. Lipodissolve does not provide instant results.
